He is the President of Harvest Ministries to the World, Inc. He is a conference and convention speaker and a teacher of Ministers Seminars all over the world.
Charles Green spent 14 months in China-Burma-India in WWII, mostly in the Myitkyina, Burma [jungle] area. He is a university graduate with majors in Religion and English, minors in New Testament Greek, Interpretive Speech and History, with graduate studies at Louisiana State University. He received the Doctor of Theology Degree from the Evangelical Seminary of Brazil; the Litterarum Doctor from the California Graduate School of Theology; and the Doctor of Laws from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK.
He is the author of numerous study books, which include a foundational Catechism book, God's Covenants and the Revelation of God and His Word, published by Creation House Publications. Many churches around the world are using his Bible teaching course, God's Covenant.
Charles and Barbara Green were Founding Pastors of The Word of Faith Ministry, New Orleans, Louisiana. Under their leadership, the church grew from ten people to over 3,000. The church, 38 acre campus was practically destroyed by the Katrina flood on August 29, 2005. Thankfully, the multi-million dollar complex was debt free. After the flood the original location was sold to another church.
Dr. Green was a founder of the Network of Christian Ministries and served the first five years as Chairman of the Executive Board. This organization brought together Christian leaders from all over America and Canada. Other world leaders involved were Kenneth Copeland, Emmanuel Cannistraci, Mel Davis, John Gimenez, Dick Iverson, Paul Paino, Charles Simpson and Bob Weiner. For twenty-five years, he served as a board member of Dr. David Yonggi Cho, Church Growth International in Seoul, Korea. He has been a frequent speaker at Dr. Cho's church in Seoul, the largest church in the world.
Charles Green served on the Executive Board of the International Charismatic Bible Ministries [founded by Oral Roberts] in Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving as the Vice-Chairman for almost twenty years. He was a member [until 2008] of the Board of Regents of Oral Roberts University, serving the last fifteen years as the Chairman of the Executive Board.
He and his wife Barbara are the parents of two children. Michael Green and his wife Linda, pastor the LifeGate Church in the New Orleans area. His daughter, Cynthia Green Crider is Executive Vice President of Harvest Ministries and Assistant to her father and his son-in-law, Matt, often travels with Mr. Green in ministry. Charles and Barbara have two grandsons, Geoffrey and Tyler Green.
The Greens are now traveling extensively, ministering in churches and Leadership Conferences around the world. Their home in New Orleans was destroyed by the flood from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. They lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana until 2010. They moved along with their daughter and son-in-law to the North Dallas area in June of 2010. Dr. Green continues his ministry and is a frequent guest instructor at Bible schools and colleges all over the world.
